How long until a prominent public figure uses this to reignite the campaign to restrict ordinary people’s access to knives? Someone intent on violence will use anything they can get their hands on. It’s so obviously the attacker, not the knife, that’s responsible.

This is so obviously true. We’re wasting so much time and energy having to debate this that could be spent on productive endeavours. Imagine where we could be as a society if we weren’t arguing over questions like this. All that time could be spent on making actual progress.
