Three years ago, journalists protested that getting rid of loads of magistrates court hearings & delivering parts of the justice system online/in private was a terrible idea Today, it was confirmed the idea has been ditched Good day for #OpenJustice standard.co.uk/news/uk/online…

Interviewed the PM at Downing Street today. No phones allowed, but I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of my favourite resident, Larry the cat. 🫶🏻

WHY DO JOURNALISTS COVER INQUESTS 🧵 It's always difficult attending an inquest for a loved one & so it is understandable that journalists are then subsequently lashed out at for covering the hearing. Hopefully this post helps people understand & prevents future online abuse ⬇️

I get it... Labour have let you down You're desperate for change Do you really think someone who wants to make you pay for healthcare, reduce workers' rights, keep fire & rehire & shills for the rich is going to bring the change you need? Remember what he did to our fishers.

I'm with Tristan on this and feel Simon rarely attends court. The problem is not juries & they certainly aren't "middle class philanthropists". The problem is cuts resulting in courts being closed, not enough judges, prosecution & defence barristers & solicitors, & no court time

Having a go at a team with a budget 20% of the size of Man City’s, bottom of the league fighting to avoid the worst points total ever, because their billion pound squad couldn’t break them down. Embarrassing, classless interview this. #SaintsFC

Those who know me know I am a Craig David fan (understatement of the century), and have long hoped to interview him for the Daily Echo. Well, that day finally came, and as I said to him over Zoom: "I am totally not cool about this" 🌟 dailyecho.co.uk/news/25256266.…

I’ve thought a lot about whether it’s the right thing to talk about Rachel Reeves crying at PMQs. Because crying is not something we should be ashamed of, or something we should be judged for. Because crying is something associated with women - and in particular this misogynistic

EXCLUSIVE: After countless requests for custody images that were being denied, I found out that through an extremely concerning loophole sex offenders are avoiding having their mugshots and DNA taken 📸 Now our local MPs are calling for change in government…

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts. The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative. Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.
