Here’s how I know there is value in our app for you as a coach and player: I’m a college coach at D2 who loves to develop hitters. We have a lot of training bells and whistles and for the most part, we are getting our guys moving fairly well at the plate.

As hitting coaches we generally know what pitches and zones the hitters in our lineup hit well and struggle with. But the presentation from coach to hitter is crucial. Showing trends with heat maps and scatter plots makes it SIMPLE for them to see, buy-in, and adjust.

We wanted to show our college hitters in-game data on what pitches and zones they hit well and didn’t hit well. We couldn’t afford the only tech available that could be used on game day. So we created Hitting Approach.

We’ve built an app that closes the gap: Hitting Approach gathers in-game data in relation to pitch type, location,result, and approx EV to help coaches and hitters ID the “good ball” for them, then help them build an approach accordingly.
