Wow, Ryan Helsley has been absolutely atrocious since being traded to the Mets. Tonight 0.1 IP, 2BB and gave up a 2-run HR to Harrison Bader. Over 9 ERA since the trade.

I just can't get past the fact that pitching in baseball, from MLB to little league, is breathakingly broken. The hunt for velocity has changed everything, and not for the better. The # of injuries is staggering, the decline of the SP throwing 7 innings is a HUGE problem.

If you can't execute in practice you won't execute on game day. If you're not confident in practice you won't be confident on game day. If you're not focused in practice you won't be focused on game day. The habits you cultivate in practice will show up on game day.

I might be in the minority here, but this tigers vs Mariners game is how baseball should be played. No starting extras with runner on 2B ! What a game!

Although, I do have to say, if bunting was part of the game these days, it would have been over much earlier. Shame that nobody wants to bunt, nor knows how anymore.

I’m a big Illini fan, but why are people upset they’re out of the 🏈 top 25? Yes, they beat USC, but the other 2 big games were over by half. The defense has given up 63, 32, 27, & 34 pts in conf games. For those who think they should be ranked, what is the rationale?
