I've found @southwest's family boarding inconsistent. Sometimes we're told it's for fams with kids 13 and younger. And sometimes we are told it's for fams with kids 6 and younger. Plus, there is so much pre-boarding and blah blah blah ... that A boarding is like B- boarding.
