My relationship with my advisor has always been strong. So, I never thought I'd need to hear any form of reassurance from him ... But today he told me he sees the progress I'm making and that he appreciates all of my hard work. Hearing that hit me like a truck (in a good way!)

New pub from Adam B. Cohen and I on food taboos! Across 311 religious groups and 78 cultures, we find no relationship between food taboos and pathogens; adding to the evidence against the hypothesis that food taboos function to manage disease threat. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

There is no ‘teacher shortage’. There are thousands of qualified experiences teachers who are no longer teaching. There’s a shortage of respect and proper compensation for teachers allowing them to actually teach.

Been lifetime Dolphins fan. I've suffered through Chad Henne, Chad Pennington, Ryan Tannehill, Fitzpatrick, the list goes on...... now that we have our franchise QB we let him play after his nasty injury last week? Disgusted by the Dolphins medical staff. Disgusted.

Sad, sad day when you have that "we need to abandon this project because of how uninformative the results are" discussion with your co-authors. Such a cool set of ideas, too. What a shame. The research gods giveth, and they taketh away!

I say this with zero exaggeration - SISPP ’23 was the best experience of my graduate career. I met brilliant, wonderful people that I now call close friends, learned from a fabulous group of professors, played a ton of volleyball, and saw my bestie Alexandra Wormley Society for Personality and Social Psychology #SISPP

FSU just cancelled classes until Thursday bc of Hurricane Idalia. Thank goodness. When FSU cancels classes, nothing terrible tends to happen. It’s only when FSU keeps campus open that the weather takes a turn for the worst. Just how the cookie tends to crumble 🍪

100% spot on. This is ridiculous. I and all my neighbors are about to reach hour 40+ without power. Same in the nearby communities.
