We cannot keep acting like everything is okay. It’s not okay. Palestinians are STILL dying. Immigrants and citizens (racialized as immigrants) are being illegally detained or deported. Our rights are being undermined. We have to fight. None of this is normal or casual.

The screams are killing me. People are live-tweeting their own deaths. Children are begging for help no one’s coming to give. Palestinians are posting their last words as the world scrolls past. How do you grieve in real time for a genocide unfolding in front of you?

It’s genocide. It’s always been. Children, women, entire families. How can this cruelty be justified? We have got to end cycles of violence. Traumas that were never healed will only beget more hurt.
