Reserve big. A surprise for the second year in a row. I like his game in NZNBL/NBL1, but it has only translated for a few moments at the higher level. Needs to get in the shape of his life and hit more than 28% of his 3PA

27-year-old Izayah Le'Afa signs with Sydney for 2 years.

Great get for the Kings, and a key miss for other teams. Tough defender, who can do point of attack, chase an off ball guy around screens, and play up a position or two with his strong body. 35% on 3s at NBL level.

My bet is on Will McDowell-White heading to South East Melbourne.

27-year-old Jordan Hunter signs for 3 years with South East Melbourne.

Has claims as the best screen + roll finisher in the NBL. Likewise on the offensive glass. Won Sydney's DPOY award in a weird season. He's arguably an upgrade for SEM at C if he isn't wooed by an Asian offer.

21-year-old Mojave King signs with New Zealand.

Struggled at a young age in CNS+ADL, before a promising stint in NZNBL, and time in G-League. Has the outline of a quality NBL wing in theory, but how ready is he for this season — interested to see! 📊NBL22

Lee replacement — allows the option of an import SF. Injured to start NBL24, which wasn't good prep for late season increased opportunity. Patchy NBL career so far, but has shown flashes of passing, finishing, athleticism

32-year-old Rob Loe re-signs with Melbourne.

A big that can pass, he's hit 35% of his NBL 3s, and opponents shot just 46% at the rim when he was on the floor in a tough United defence. A tick for Melbourne getting him to commit full-time after 8 games in NBL24

25-year-old Angus Glover signs for 2 years with South East Melbourne.

Another undervalued pickup, given the minutes squeeze in Sydney. A better shooter+athlete than a few starting wings across the league this season. Has the game to play off of stars.
