Many responses to this are about kids being *coddled*, but I also remember a fair amount of talk from professors and administrators during the 2020 era implying that standards, deadlines, expectations were a positive *injustice*—lots of comparisons to the carceral state, etc.

As a former professor, I couldn’t imagine singling out some of my students based on their race or ethnicity and specifically trying to make them uncomfortable. And then basically telling them they should feel that way. And then publishing about it. Insane.
