When I received the Tulip Human Rights Prize in December 2021, from Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs 🇳🇱, I was in the United States. I couldn't travel with the bronze tulip statuette. The Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda delivered it to my office just before I returned to Kampala. It now sits on our shelves as an inspiration

Today we launch with Ministry of Energy & Mineral Development the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region Certification Mechanism in Uganda, for responsible sourcing of minerals, supported by Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda, with GIZ. “Responsible business practices are not only morally imperative but are a global standard and critical for success.“


Today the Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Platform was launched at the UN Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE). An innovative way NATO and United Nations to train peacekeepers. VILT offers a platform for remote learning at UN C4ISR Academy for Peace Operations



Tonight we say goodbye to Elsie Attafuah who is leaving Uganda and celebrate UNDP Uganda’s impressive achievements in Uganda.

Today we’re saying goodbye to Munir, a champion for the rights of children in Uganda, advocating with passion and knowledge for putting the future of children first. With Munir UNICEF Uganda was a strong partner of Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda through the #PROSPECTSPartnership and other programs.
