This old timer will lose 100k to the government if doesn't sell his home before the new Capital Gains tax hits in June. Please note these are the real people impacted by the change - not the 1%. ottawa.ctvnews.ca/man-from-tweed…

I'm sorry, but this is an incredibly disingenuous speech. Canada doesn't have a money problem, or a giving to the community problem, we have a government spending problem. Any solution that does not include curbed government spending and hiring is simply a hoax.

I was sad to hear about the passing of Mike Bullard. Whenever I filled in for πŸŒŸπŸ’«βœ¨βš‘οΈπŸ’₯πŸ’«πŸŒŸβš‘οΈπŸ’₯πŸŒŸπŸ’«βš‘οΈβœ¨πŸ’₯ on Newstalk 1010 it was a pleasure to hang out with him before the show and of course, try and keep up with him during the crossover from his show to Jim's. RIP MIKE

Be concerned about "tariffs" on a couple levels. The obvious is our day to day cost of things. The other is that our government will now collect more "taxes" on the products they counter tariff. I'm not convinced giving the CDN government "more direct dough" is a good thing.

Shout-out to Bryan Adams for jumping on a call with the CRTC from the backseat of a car in Germany to discuss the future of Canadian Content. Thank you for caring. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ #legend

I've met Alan a few times over the years. He's done numerous shows for us. A fine, talented Canadian lad. Enjoy his latest contribution to the fabric of our country.

My son is trying to teach my mother in law via facetime how to use an apple remote to change the TV channels in our home. I imagine this is what it is like when the Air Traffic Controller tries to teach someone to land a plane when the pilot dies midflight.

The unfortunate reality of the "tariffs" is that it will become the ultimate grift. There is no way a consumer can know if a price is truly impacted or if they are being taken advantage of. This is the "supply chain" all over again.

I just got a note suggesting I drive my crappy car to my sons volleyball tournament because so many cars are being broken into in the parking lot. That's some serious B.S.

Here's a little life lesson. BEFORE you have kids. Talk to a teacher about how kids should, and shouldn't behave at school. THEN when you have kids - remember that conversation and parent accordingly.

It might be time to consider a: - 5 year freeze on spending increases. - 5 year freeze on hiring. - 5 year freeze on tax increases. It's time to figure this out. Our house is no longer in order. nationalpost.com/news/canada/wi…

We can no longer accept "tax hikes" as the answer to every problem. The federal government enjoys massive funding from Canadian taxpayers. Over spending, waste, and accountability are the problems. It's time for a reset in attitude and actions. theglobeandmail.com/politics/artic…
