It was really sad to see miles and miles of burnt trees around Jasper. Lots of homes there still to be rebuilt, with many families in mobile accommodation. 😞

Harlequin Duck at Lake Louise village yesterday evening.

I thought Lake Louise might be overhyped but it wasn’t! Even though a bit was still frozen, it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

We were lucky to see 6 Black Bears yesterday evening near Golden, including this mother with 2 cubs. The photo is very zoomed in as we kept our distance!

The mother Black Bear was feasting on grass and Dandelions whilst her two cubs played in the trees. This was this morning near Golden.

Lots of Yellow-headed Blackbird this morning at Kamloops.

Not a great photo but very excited to see 3 Orcas off Stanley Park, Vancouver.

Yesterday’s whale watching trip was a disappointment with no whales seen. So we got a free trip this afternoon - about 30 Orca and 3 Humpback Whales seen (and 12 Harlequin Duck and 40 Black Scoter with a few Surf Scoter, Black Oystercatcher and Bald Eagles).
