I'm out & about today at the South & East Midlands Wing Air Cadets conference. This an ideal opportunity to engage directly with those at the grassroots of the organisation & gather a helpful insight into what is happening on the ground. Thank you to OC S&E Mids Wing & DepOC for extending me an invitation.

Another day & another visit. Today, I visited @hbwaircadets to observe the Initial & Advanced NCO and Cadet Drill courses. Always a privilege to catch-up and engage with my old team - @TDTHertsBucks & @wwo_hbw (and "photo bomb" the INCO course photo) @OCHertsBucks

Today I've been observing Beds & Cambs Wing Junior & Senior NCO courses.  This an ideal opportunity to engage directly with those delivering one of the org's key deliverables & gain an insight into how BCW delivers them. Thank you to Howard Wolfe and his team for their time.

Thank you 1066 (Hitchin) Sqn for inviting me to their Awards Evening. It's always a privilege to return to my old unit & present the same awards that I handed out when I was 'the boss' in the middle of the last decade. Congratulations to all who received an award or were promoted.

On 23 Mar 1943, OC 617 Squadron formed at RAF Scampton under the Command of Wg Cdr Guy Gibson. The Sqn were formed to carry out an operation to breach the Dams on the River Ruhr in Germany. It was these operations in May 1943 that earned the Sqn the name of ‘The Dambusters’

Out & about today observing the South & East Midlands Wing Air Cadets TrgO & Adj workshop, hosted by @SEMWTraining and his Trg & Dev Team. This is the first time this workshop has been delivered in #SEMWg and has facilitated some excellent conversation and questions from the attendees.

Out and about today, this time at the Beds & Cambs Wing Conference. Today was an opportunity for me to provide an update on my projects for 2023, engage directly with the grassroots of the organisation and catch up with friends old and new.
