Harding talked about the Make48 competition, a collaborative inventor challenge. KSDE attended a Make48 competition that Kansas Blind School hosted in June of this year. Click here to read more: ksde.org/Home/Quick-Lin…

Kansas Blind School Harding said some challenges the school is seeing are: -Better inform parents of skills & services/programs. -Vision teacher shortages. -Indirect/consult services vs. direct services. -Better coordination for statewide vision services. -Accessibility of state assessments.

Thank you to Heather Martens aka the "Blind Barista" from Topeka who took time to visit Kansas Blind School students' "Brailled Bean" Coffee Operation this part week. Inspiring and motivational!

Happy to be invited to represent Kansas Blind School here at the NFB Kansas state convention. We appreciate the partnership and will look to expand in 2025.
