This is Baylor University's Harry Potter professor, who accused J.K. Rowling of hating trans people and was given a $488K grant in 2021 to illuminate "the ways various forms of American culture have promoted racial myths through the centuries." I wonder why his replies are turned off.

A Baylor University professor accused The Christian Post and others of “attacking [his] faith” for covering his public comments affirming LGBT ideology. He also defended a controversial $643K grant the school got to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in churches. christianpost.com/news/baylor-pr…

If a theology professor is teaching students that they should affirm sin that scripture tells us will lead people to hell, then of course you should question his faith. Because at that point, you are not dealing with a new Christian who is confused and early in the sanctification

Baylor is committed to providing a caring community, and to academic freedom, as a Christian research university. But our policies also remain unchanged, which is why the University has elected to return a recent grant. President Livingstone explains: bit.ly/3IdgRyj

Let me explain in this thread why it is not enough for Baylor to simply return an LGBTQ grant. Because the grant money is emblematic of rot that has been going on for a long time. Major Christian donors should not allow the school to move on from this without a full house

An addendum--in its statement today decrying Baylor's decision to return the grant, the Baugh foundation notes that it has provided a similar grant to Baylor in the past without controversy. So it sounds like the grant return was not a principled stand but simply because this

Baylor is returning the grant after so many people spoke up with concern. It goes to show that calling out Christian institutions for not being in line with Scripture makes a difference. At the same time, it’s important for Christians to not be naive. It certainly looks like this

🧵Baylor University, a large Baptist college in Texas, took $643K from a progressive foundation to push LGBTQ+ affirmation in churches, then returned it. But is this repentance or damage control? A look at the university’s moves in recent years reveals the truth:

I'm still awed by the daylong workshop this week at the FTC on the horrors of trans-ing kids and the massive fraud and deception that drives it. So many heroes speaking out. So grateful. Great coverage here in The Christian Post by my colleague Jon Brown. christianpost.com/news/ftc-hosts…

I missed my chance to meet John MacArthur, but we spoke on the phone for 15 minutes in 2021 for an article about the persecution of pastors in Canada. The year before, I had covered his pushback against California’s COVID clampdown on churches — a battle he won. MacArthur

As I prepare for my podcast today I am remembering Rev. John MacArthur. He was a warrior to so many of us—pastors, believers, and seekers alike—who over and over called on Christians to stand bold, to hold fast to scripture, to reject the fleeting trends of a wavering world. From
