Our members go to call after call, another shooting, another stabbing, another homicide. Communities are left to pick up the pieces, our members are criticized every day, and yet our local government is silent on these issues. @TPAReid torontosun.com/news/local-new…

Thankfully our officer will recover from his injuries, but tonight is another stark reminder of the dangers our members face every day. Violence against our members has to stop. @TPAReid Brian Callanan

An officer being shot has a rippling affect across our Service. Not just for our members, but for their families, and the families of every officer on the road every day and night. The reality is, our members’ families are sitting home wondering “is my loved one going to come

Hey Toronto Police Service Board Lily Cheng Amber Morley in case you haven’t heard, one of our members was shot and seriously injured while protecting our city. As the employer, we may have missed your words of support or expressed concern about our member. Would you mind sharing them again?

Heard from @TPAReid this morning. Police are upset that some city councillors and the mayor did not attend the hospital after a cop was shot in the line of duty earlier this week. Meanwhile, Pierre Poilievre called the perp a “dirtbag.” John Moore asks, are you upset by this?

It’s time the mayor, councillors & TPSB come out & support our members. They won’t deal with us & are forcing us into arbitration. What msg does that send to our members? It’s says they don’t care enough to do what other surrounding areas have done: which is look after the police

Jon Reid (@jon_reid_) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We need the mayor to stand up and say ‘Enough is Enough’. It’s a top priority for our members to look after the citizens of Toronto and these men and women deserve to be supported wholeheartedly by the city.
