As much as I like Fairchild, Bengals didn’t do enough to address Guard. Fairchild struggled against larger DTs at times. So he’ll need time to add size/strength but because the Bengals didn’t do enough to get starter quality Guards, he’ll probably be forced to start week 1.

The Geno Stone pay cut is interesting in that the Bengals had a chance to draft Starks, Emmanwori, Mbukba, Winston, or Watts but passed on all of them. They prioritized EDGE and LB on defense over Safety, which is fine. FA or Day 2 pick at Safety in 2026 now.
