We have two Paetow High School legends here! Salyce and Valerie did an amazing job describing their experiences as AP Ambassadors and the value of the program to a national audience at the AP Annual Conference in Las Vegas. I’m so proud of these kids. #apconf

Day One for Jolly Scholle at Dawson Eagles . New scenery, but the energy and knowledge remains the same! It was also Day One for Mira in Kindergarten, which was awesome. Lots of learning happening in the Scholle household today.



The Technology Draft Project came to AP World History at Dawson Eagles. Our kids got to research, collaborate, and use creativity while learning about all the important technical innovations from our course. I’m impressed with their effort early this school year.


AP World History students reviewed for their first big exam with an old fashioned “Question Race”. Teams collaborate and compete to be the first group to research and finish their questions. It was great to use the awesome space within Dawson Eagles as well!


It’s Homecoming Week! So, Dawson AP World History students used football to help us learn about the Author’s Analysis while writing our DBQs. Dawson Eagles


AP World History students at Dawson Eagles used the book “Zoom” by Istvan Banyai to understand Contextualization. Groups worked to organize Banyai’s book in order based on the surrounding images. Now they’re set to start learning the skill while writing a DBQ.


AP World History Students at Dawson Eagles worked in teams to create a historical narrative with images and documents relating to Porcelain. Students connected Cobalt, the Silk Road, the Dutch, carracks, the Mongols, and Renaissance art in 30 minutes. Impressive work!


It’s Election Season! So, AP World History students at Dawson Eagles set the leaders from Land-Based Empires against each other and rated their performance on some of the key issues of their time period. Students will vote on their overall best leader in class tomorrow.


It was Columbian Exchange Day for AP World History students at Dawson Eagles ! So our students got to get up close and experience some of the most significant spices and trade commodities from the time period. A big highlight is always the Beaver Pelt and weighing the Gold.


AP World History students at Dawson Eagles used their historical knowledge to express their thankfulness today. Each student created a historical analogy based on the content from our course. They produced some incredibly creative work!


AP World History students at Dawson Eagles finished their Columbian Exchange Business projects today. Each student developed a business idea based around a commodity from the years 1450-1750. Tomorrow, each kid will get $100 Dawson Bucks and choose which projects to invest in.
