Rainy day today. My classroom is directly above a daycare. They're singing "if all the rain drops" and the sound effects the littles are making are just the best. ☺️

Took a moment before heading out to sit back and reflect on a great year. Work is still a lot of work, but I'm so grateful that I get to do this job. Good things happen in this space. See you in a few weeks, classroom.

Not naming unis, but it's frustrating when B.Ed practicum blocks leave an awkward (3-5 days) gap before school breaks. Student Ts lose out of being part of big events, learning to manage the big energy of those days, and it's a weird place for classroom teachers to restart.

When you've only seen one #Perseids meteorite but then the #Aurora completely steals the whole show. Staying an extra night at the lake was a solid impulse decision.

Presenting to new teachers this afternoon: 45 mins for AI and tech isn't long. Chose to focus on the big picture - what opportunities can AI provide that we couldn't do before? (The Marques Brown interview with Tim Cook in June was really interesting, and I love this bit).
