Today we remember the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. An act that would formally bring the United States into the Second World War, and set the Allied nations on a long and bloody path to victory.

A twilight trot around trenches last night with the fine folk Great War Huts - I think this is the 3rd sell out year. The Christmas Truce 1914 - whatever you believe, read or hear the Hutters really do bring it to life. It’s the start of Christmas for me.

Fresh off last week’s biscuity #HutVent (featuring a dash of Dennis Wheatley), I’ve now been mysteriously gifted a copy of ‘To The Devil - A Daughter’! Thanks, mysterious forces 😜

George VI visits an arms factory out of London on the 2nd June 1940. He is seen firing a Bren gun at the factory’s range. (The print itself is an original copy from the 3rd June 1940 - from my private collection.)

Thank you to everyone who attended our TocH Chain of Light ceremony last night. It was particularly special as it was the TocH 110th Anniversary too. Thank you to Jane for lighting The Brampton Lamp, to Lyndsay and Kieran for their readings and to Emrys for the photographs.
