This morning, I inspected our gold reserves at the RBZ vaults. Zimbabwe has now surpassed the 3-tonne benchmark, ranking sixth on the continent. As global uncertainties grow, our gold holdings strengthen the foundation of our national currency and economic sovereignty.

Well done to President ED Mnangagwa for being transparent about Zimbabwe’s gold reserves now at 3 tonnes! Under Mugabe, we never even knew what was in the vaults. This is a step in the right direction.
