Skylan Smith continues his terrific start to the season for Covington. Last night, he had 22 carries for 213 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-15 victory over Dyersburg in a battle of state-ranked 3A teams. That’s 10 touchdowns in three games.

This here all true regarding Chandler Day. Such a good game last night. Wish the fans who were at the other games could have seen it.

Last night was my first time seeing Germantown QB Mekhi Robins (it was only his third start lol!). So talented. I don’t have stats but he’s a strong, polished kid who can make all the throws. Poised too; he threw a pick-six, flushed it and led his team right back down to score.

We’ve really had some outstanding quarterback play so far in our city. I’m not going to name names because inevitably I’ll forget somebody but the numbers and results these guys are starting to put up speak for themselves.
