The Tennessean asked readers whether they support expanding school vouchers statewide. More than 4,000 people responded online, with an overwhelming 91% indicating “no.”

I thought this governor was despicable, ⁦Gov. Bill Lee⁩ is soulless. Threatening not to help Tennesseans in need if my colleagues don’t vote for his voucher scam. My community has endured a flood and recovery is long and hard. It is disgraceful, 1/ nashvillescene.com/news/citylimit…

Otis could walk out of Andy’s jail cell any time he wanted. He wasn’t trapped. Families making $170k/yr are not trapped in “failing public schools”.

Let’s keep the focus on strengthening and fully funding public education. Tennessee consistently ranks among the lowest in education funding. Urge your legislators to protect Tennessee’s public schools and vote NO on vouchers. Our students deserve better.

Lt. Governor Wilder used to say if a piece of legislation was beneficial for citizens, it would easily pass without any arm-twisting or maneuvering. I feel like we watch the same episode of this show every legislative session, except now it has accompanying commercials.

We know American Federation for Children, Americans for Prosperity & Club For Growth are front groups that are pumping big money into TN to promote school vouchers. We don’t know where they get their “dark money” because they don’t have to reveal.

President Trump is absolutely right—school choice is about giving parents the power to decide what’s best for their kids. That’s exactly why I advocate for a strong, winning education freedom plan that prioritizes families, not weak-kneed establishment types like never-trump AFP

Think of the academic possibilities, innovation, growth, & achievement if Gov. Bill Lee Tennessee House of Representatives & Tennessee Senate would increase funding of public schools so that TN broke into the top 25, the top 15, or the top 5. Baby steps, let’s break into the top 30 among states in funding.

For the first time ever, Tennessee scored above the national average on all 4th and 8th grade NAEP Assessments. One would expect the Governor to be out touting this accomplishment. Not happening because it doesn't support the voucher legislation. chalkbeat.org/tennessee/2025…

Ruby Bridges was six years old when she bravely walked into William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans in November 1960. Jeering mobs of adults showed up to intimidate her but she bravely showed up day after day, helping to integrate Louisiana’s schools. #Blackhistorymonth
