Sadly I’m the only Scottish Greens candidate to be elected in Shetland but I’m delighted that Kristopher Leask & John Ross Scott are new Green councillors in Orkney! It was great to support your campaign in Kirkwall and I’m looking forward to working collaboratively with you! 💚

Why do rest of UK continue to take DUP seriously? They not only voted for the absolute shambles they’re trying to extricate themselves from but they propped up the very PM who’s lying has put them into this position - they may be Unionist but certainly not Democratic! 🤦🏻‍♂️

The Planning Board is a quasi judicial board. We have allocated the Chair of our board to and independent Councillor. The chair of the Audit Committee has been allocated to the SNP and the Chair of the Licensing Board to a Conservative. We are not in coalition with anyone.

This week's spending review revealed that we aren't paying enough in income tax to cover the cost of the services we receive so the Government is now going to cut many of those services rather than ask us to pay more in income tax.

He’s forgotten his favourite word in the list: Wanker. Which means in modern number 10 speak she or he didn’t support Boris Johnson in the leadership or you tried to argue for a more thoughtful Brexit. And therefore should be passed over or purged.

Cliques and egos...Kids and their toys! The joy of politics...Boris will fall and scripts for screen plays and future TV dramas - which would have been thought of as too unbelievable - will materialise.

Listening to the Concerns of Islanders: Islands Bond Cancelled “The heart of reducing depopulation lies with communities not individuals – money needs to be pumped into island communities to invigorate life there then, hopefully, folk will be attracted there for genuine reasons.

“That desperate hope is why the world is looking to you and why you are here” A year ago today, Sir David Attenborough addressed world leaders at the #COP26 opening ceremony. With less than one week until #COP27, his powerful words still ring true 👇

What can I say in tribute to the great Doddie Weir that hasn't been said by so many over the past 48 hours. He was a giant of a man in more ways than one with a heart of gold who bore his illness so well and shared so much. The world of sport has lost one of its greatest heroes.

Last night I went to Robin Hood - the Stromness Drama Club Pantomime (Oh, YES I did!) and it wasn't just good... it was OUTSTANDING! Well done to director Phyllis McLaughlin and her entire team for bringing this exceptional fun show together.
