#NHLJets Scott Arniel says, “We’ll see,” in response to a question about seeking continuity by reverting to line combinations from Games 1-3. In Game 4 pre-game warmup the Jets showed the same lines from the previous 3 matches and then juggled their combos after puck drop.

#NHLJets Nikolai Ehlers and Nino Niederreiter have flown to #IIHF World Championship to play for Denmark and Switzerland, respectively. Mark Scheifele has gone home to be with his family.

#NHLJets Luke Schenn described the morning skate of Game 7 vs #TexasHockey as very emotional: players were in tears for Mark Scheifele and his family upon learning of Brad Scheifele’s passing. “We all wanted to (win) so badly for him and his family but it just didn’t happen.”

#NHLJets Luke Schenn was playing through most of the postseason with “a couple of cracked ribs” suffered in the third period of Game 2 vs St. Louis. He said he went to hit an opponent and ended up sustaining the injury.

#NHLJets Josh Morrissey said that he won’t need surgery on his left knee but would be been out for the rest of the playoffs. He knew as soon as he got tangled up with #TexasHockey Mikko Rantanen in Game 6 that he was done. In Game 7 vs STL he was in concussion protocol.

#NHLJets Mason Appleton recounted the open net opportunity he missed in Game 6, saying the puck didn’t settle the way he wanted and he didn’t get what he wanted on the shot.

#NHLJets Kevin Cheveldayoff says he plans to “put our best foot forward” in presenting a case to potentially make Nikolai Ehlers a Jet for life. The process is on hold while Ehlers is playing for Denmark at WHC. Once he’s finished, Cheveldayoff intends to continue conversations.
