I hesitate to say this, but I really like the College Board's new initiative. With affirmative action on the ropes, this would be a better path to diversity than simply looking at income.

Reading Josh Kim and Eddie Maloney's new book, Learning Innovation and the Future of Higher Education. Smart and free of bluster and magical thinking that underlie most such books.

A bit tired of people saying that can create an excellent online college course for under $25,000. They can say it only because the metrics are difficult and no one is keeping score. Accepting or ignoring this nonsense keeps us from collaborating on actual solutions.

Watching the #nea-conservatives get rid of COVID safeguards. Meanwhile, though, why aren't we doing a re vs blue state olympics in such things as vaccine distribution?

Good report. It's hard to measure K12 Edtech's cost or impact–just like the rest of K12. If we take an approach to data that is less about accountability and more about research, we could learn so much about what works.
