There must be something about Man City v Luton in the Cup. Haaland’s 5 goals last night reminded me of Denis Law scoring 6 in the same fixture. Difference is that game was abandoned with 20 minutes left and Luton won the rearranged game 3-1!!

Lovely to be winning and apparently on top at half time but as we haven’t had 2 good halves in one game all season fear it could all go wrong yet!

Feeling for Jordan Smith at Sotogrande today. After 11 holes he is -2 which is ok. But one of his playing partners, Julien Guerrier, is 9 under! Would that not just do your head in!! But Jordan stuck it out and finished -5 and that included 2 eagles.

At 84 I tend to resent changes to things I have been familiar with all my life. BUT the new plastic squeezy Marmite bottle- which looks just the same as it always has-is absolutely brilliant if, as I do, you spread your Marmite on bread!! Recommended!
