The fantastic survey series from Bright Line Watch is great for many reasons, but also provides an invaluable time series on retrospective perceptions of 2020 election's legitimacy.

Republican perceptions that 2020 was legit steadily rose 2020-2022, but has since stalled.

Not great to see 'rigging' language spreading to a Democrat who lost in a free and fair election. Not acceptable for anyone of either party to undermine trust in the system this way.

Our new paper drops just in time for an important election likely to have rampant false claims aimed at undermining confidence in the electoral system. We hope this work helps defend democracy. Key findings:
1. Both approaches increased election confidence and reduced fraud beliefs
2. But prebunking effects more durable in U.S. and larger in Brazil
3. Effects appear to be driven by novel substantive content of the prebunking treatment, not inoculation approach
