Admitting that we have something to learn doesn’t just show humility. It improves relationships. When we acknowledge that we don't know everything, others feel more psychologically safe—and become more effective. Expressing our desire to get better can help others get better.

Much thanks to Pedro Martinez and the school admin for a great visit and tour today of Shurz High School in Chicago. Some very impressive learning going on in this historic building. Best part was talking with some awesome students about their school and life experiences.

I really appreciated speaking and hearing from high school students today at Don DeWitte legislative youth council. It's great that Sen Dewitte provides this forum for students in his district. They have important thoughts about issues that are important for our future.
