I was really energized after the C3 Teachers IDM conference. The American School of Barcelona social studies review team is excited to try out the inquiry design model. This transforms the learning experience for kids!
Nothing says community building, laughter and connection like a morning of improv with all 150 American School of Barcelona staff. Thanks to @Barcelonaimprov for helping us kick off our first day back with teachers!
What a magical start to our elementary staff meeting American School of Barcelona exploring big ideas of inclusion through play and playful inquiry. What rich discussion and heartfelt connection!
Such rich conversations today during the American School of Barcelona social studies curriculum review! So exciting to unpack the C3 framework and envision potential inquiry experiences for students. Thanks for co-facilitating Jenny Killion! Looking forward to working with C3 Teachers in Nov.
Loved starting our staff meeting with identity maps of our younger selves to explore ideas of inclusion and connection. Thanks for the idea @MaryEhrenworth, Sara K. Ahmed ON BLUESKY American School of Barcelona
"If I show them as fragile, then maybe they can show up in that story and hide their secrets within the pages of a novel." and "I can hear you because I believe that you can see me." It is about humility, intimacy & gratitude. Thank you Jason Reynolds News and @TCRWP!
We immersed ourselves in so many beautiful new books that will allow our students to do some deep thinking DEIJ work. Using Gholdy Muhammad's equity framework helped us to plan for rich interactive read-aloud conversations.American School of Barcelona
I love working with this group of Eduardo Arcos educators to develop school systems of support for ALL kids. We had such powerful conversations about next steps for MTSS implementation.#leadinclusion
I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with international leaders and Dr. Derrick Gay thinking about inclusion and shifting the conversation from diversity to intercultural competency.

Our ASB Elementary school community has been learning about how our brains work differently and most importantly learning from the voices of our neurodivergent students.
It was such a pleasure working with the faculty at UNIS Hanoi as we explored the Universal Design For Learning Framework. The room was buzzing as we planned for new ways to engage and motivate our learners! Thanks Cheryl Hordenchuk & Nitasha Crishna (she/her)
