I was fired from the Google Cloud team today. During a routine maintenance task, I renamed a production Kubernetes cluster to yølø-1. Turns out the system wasn’t designed to handle extended Latin characters. The cascade failure brought down a non-trivial portion of the internet

So many went from shitting on Liquid Glass to now loving it. That was a quick 180

Looks amazing in controlled photos but an accessibility nightmare depending on the background it’s on. A similar thing happened years ago with iOS 7(?) Apple will fix it before official release
