Carver Konzem 285 will attempt to become the 16th state champion at Ashland-Greenwood this afternoon. Konzem will wrestle Keagyn Linden a 51-0 Senior from York.

Most impressive single season I’ve ever seen, 38-0. One match went the distance, the other 37 matches were all falls. Those 37 pins combined took him less than 19 and a half minutes. His entire season was 25 minutes long. Absolute animal

The Bluejay Boys basketball team will host a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP game on Saturday, March 1 vs. West Point-Beemer at 6:00 pm at A-G Middle School. The winner advances to STATE on March 12, 14 & 15. This is an NSAA event; NO PASSES will be accepted. $6 adults/$5 students.

In addition to the two sub-4:08 miles by Juan Gonzalez and Braden Lofquest today plus Juan’s 8:55 2-mile on Friday, Braden threw in a 1:52 800 on Saturday. The two Nebraska boys had quite a showing at New Balance Nationals.

Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools SPECIAL ELECTION informational meeting(s) are scheduled. Monday, May 5 at the A-G Middle School Performing Arts Center at 6pm (806 N. 17th) Thursday, May 8 at 6:00 pm. Location is still pending.

Our season came to an end yesterday in Kearney. I have coached XC for many years and I don’t know how many I have left, so it was a great experience to coach with my daughter!! She brought a ton of recent experience to the staff. The team enjoyed having her and want her for TF!

This AG Volleyball team’s journey started long ago and today- they get to put all of that hard work towards playing in the State Tournament. Concordia awaits at 3pm. If you can’t get off work- go to agbluejays.com as Kendra and Suzzanne will be there.
