No Aurora like last Friday night except for a G1 far north which may be hampered by cloud but the moon did pop out tonight between the clouds to light up the sky! Dublin Road Newry Co Down Northern Ireland📱🌝

A selfie with a difference. As the reel song says 'I want to touch the Northern Lights' and this was the night the heavens met earth in an auroral embrace and they came so close you could feel the eternal connection. The stuff memories are made of! 🌌

Love the twists in the pillar. Spelga Dam Co Down, N.I 🌌

Light pillars occur when manmade lights are refracted by ice crystals which act like prisms, spreading the artificial light into vertical columns that can appear to be emanating from the ground or suspended in the air

Another one! Sure why not! Pano of the aurora dancing beside the moon and if you zoom in stars around the moon. All the celestical objects in shot. Amazing night at one with the universe! 🌌🌠🌛

Apologies in advance for yet another aurora post but this a pano I shot of Spelga Dam bathed in the celestical aurora glow Friday night. Nature's free light show entertaining two full car parks! 🌌

‘It is outrageous that those who oppose war must fight for the space to argue for peace’ - this cannot be said enough. Well done President of Ireland

The eye of the storm.

This is similar to how a neon light works. The aurora typically forms 80 to 500 km above Earth's surface. Earth's magnetic field guides the electrons such that the aurora forms two ovals approximately centered at the magnetic poles
