You seem to be fond of that line, Senator Cynthia Lummis—I've seen you use it more than once. But here’s the thing: one day, you’ll look back on this era and the damage wrought by Trump, Musk, and DOGE, and you’ll regret the part you played in enabling it.

Never before have I seen and heard a POTUS behave more shamefully and disgracefully than Donald Trump did today.

Sen. Simpson had a way of making you feel welcome, of reminding you not to take yourself too seriously, and of bringing people together with a sharp wit and big heart. Like many others, I mourn his passing and am grateful for his legacy of service, leadership, humor, and decency.

So let me get this straight—gutting democracy, torching the economy, and dividing a nation and world is what counts as ‘making America great again’? Just making sure I’m reading the dystopian manual correctly.

I read this morning that patriotism is on the rise — in Canada. And as the U.S. pulls back from its moral and economic commitments, European nations are stepping up to lead through uncertain times. Trump might just be making everywhere but America great again.

If passed, Trump’s latest scheme would blow a $2.4 trillion hole in the national debt to give handouts to billionaires and gut healthcare. Meanwhile, the latest jobs report shows fewer jobs and more struggling. So much for making America great. I guess that was never the plan.
