Client has all income needs met by State/Final salary/annuity. Taking a regular monthly income from an ISA and gifting it all away to family every month. Outside of the estate for IHT Purposes immediately right ?

Thanks everyone- seems to have been clarified that if ISA income is from divs/interest then it is and if not then it’s a PET. Have just started with the on boarding process, will have to see what the funds are when the LOA info comes back!

A twist to previous tweet- I know the client has been taking the income from the ISA since before at least one of their pension incomes, what do we think ?

If wages have grown by circa 6%, then a 5% rise in council tax really isn’t the end of the world. Although that wouldn’t make a good headline

Had Timeline in to come and present our investment proposition to some of our new advisers. To quote one of them ‘It’s like going from a reliant robin to a Ferrari’ referencing their old proposition 😎

Initial planning costs £6,500, pessimistic model shows clients £700,000 better off after 15 years. Decent return on investment that. But remember everyone financial advisers charge you 5% to simply check your funds (or at least that’s what I read in the paper!)

Anybody already looking at AI supported fintech for advisers ?? I’m here writing a suitability report at Christmas and thinking we can’t be too far away from AI that can do this. One for the Plannr CRM team I reckon!
