Several fires observed around the #ACROSS site during the extreme heat wave on the evening of the 19th. Compounded with strong photooxidation and potential transport from plumes from the fires of southwest of France, particulate levels rose to 10 times of previous campaign peaks.

Surprising to see at this site such large contribution of biogenics 🌱 during summertime (about a third of OA) and wood combustion for heating 🪵during wintertime (~half of OA). Bit unclear how air quality goals will be met by current policies..
