I am considering law school and would like to chat with lawyers who follow or see this — to get a sense for their own journey, opportunities, what to expect.

John Green came by campus. His book, The Anthropocene Reviewed, is our school’s common book. Each time he grabbed the mic, John stole the audience with his breathless responses, wit, and unending supply of anecdotes. Being a prolific writer and YouTuber does that to you.

American Football (🏈) is like if Football (⚽️) were played exclusively through set-pieces. This means that, as a fan who fell in love with the rhythm and flow of ⚽️, 🏈 is difficult to enjoy.

I wrote this interesting essay just over a year ago.

It is my two year anniversary working at my college’s writing center. This fall marks my fifth semester here. Few joys have topped the one I feel when a student, who’d come in scared, leaves our 50-minute session feeling like they can invade the world with their words.

Whenever I come in contact with a piece of media that’s gone viral, I find it useful to ask the following: — Who does it subvert? — What traits in the subverted does it spotlight? — How does it accomplish subversion?
