15 goals & 6 assists for Gakpo this season while often playing out of position, in heavily rotated sides or coming off the bench. Wonder what he could do in a full season consistently playing from the left.
A top class DM would help significantly, but it won’t automatically fix how open this Liverpool team are. Ludicrously porous in transition. Huge gaps all over the pitch. It’s a structural issue first and foremost.
Phenomenal footballer. A technical genius. Gutted that injuries prevented him from having a greater impact over these past few years, but those performances between the back end of 2020/21 & throughout 2021/22 were an absolute privilege to watch.
Removing all context and game importance, what’s the *best* goal of the Klopp era? Purely in terms of football brilliance. Firmino vs City (A) 18/19, Salah vs City (H) 21/22 & Thiago vs Porto (H) 21/22 immediately spring to mind.
You can measure a manager’s impact by silverware won. But also the effect they’ve had on people’s lives. Will be forever grateful for the experiences I’ve had & the memories shared over these past eight and a half years because of that man. What a ride it’s been.
