A scant 75 days ago I called my first ever hockey game. Last night I called the state tourney, perched atop Xcel Energy Center where the likes of Anthony LaPanta Joe O'Donnell normally sit. Incredible. And a big shout out to Steve Thomson - no better partner in the booth! 🏒🎙️💯

Taught me more in 10 minutes than I could’ve learned in 10 years. Simply awesome. High school sports are the best.

Swim meets are such a blast. Saw two Minnesota State High School League records fall, this one for Davis in the pool and one from IRISH’s Gerten on the diving board. And as expected, got a great battle between Edina Boys Swim/Dive & Minnetonka Boys Swim & Dive for the team title. 🎙️+ 🏊‍♂️ = 💯

Had a blast calling my first CDH Raiders Lacrosse game last night on NSPN - Minnesota. Great Minnesota State High School League match up between two programs on the rise. CDH Raiders got the victory over Woodbury High School thanks to CDH 9th grader Danny Runyon’s hat trick.

Gearing up to anchor tomorrow’s final round coverage of the Boys & Girls Minnesota State High School League AAA State Golf on NSPN - Minnesota. Looks like AAHS Activities girls team is making a record setting 23rd state appearance. A consistent standard of excellence winners of 1st ever girls title in 1977.

Looking forward to calling Benilde-St. Margaret's v Centennial Cougars at 5p on NSPN - Minnesota today. Also have Eden Prairie Eagles v Eagan Wildcats at 3p. Could be a tight one. Eagles 5-5 in games decided by 2 goals or less, while #5 ranked Wildcats are 3-0. Eagles the visitors on home turf...

Congrats to Owatonna High School Activities Director Carmen Jirele on a great win against some very tough competition! Out of 87 golfers, she was one of two competitors to go under par Bunker Hills Golf course in challenging conditions…a well earned Minnesota State High School League championship!
