Well we are nearing Christmas Cllr Steve Green and myself normally drop down to Smithies Depot, to say thank you, we felt this year we decided to go to all departments, because these guys have been front line staff, serving us in this Pandemic Year.

It started like this and today looked like this, there has been close to 4000 gifts which have been donated by the people of Barnsley been given by the goodness of your hearts, Bless you All. You have made sure girl or boy will have at least one present on Christmas Day.

The floor and tables are nearly empty, all of the presents have been delivered, well 99.9% of them, so the team are making this our last day. We thank Priory Campus for the use of their building, all ready we are planning for next year Again thank you Barnsley for you generosity

Called in Darfield Road WMC , visiting Alex And his volunteers, it’s their final day for delivering food parcels. Since the beginning of the Pandemic Alex’s team have been the Food Bank of Cudworth and further a field. Well done to you all.

Outside tonight applauding our hero’s , not been advertised enough,but next Thursday will be better, it’s all font line services , bin men, posties, shop workers, volunteers on Food Banks, and of course our medical staff. See you next Thursday 8 pm

Today I received my COVID -19 vaccine, thanking the NHS staff where outstanding from arriving to be so looked after, 15 minutes rest then on my way home. My follow councillors no matter their Party support the vaccine. If your nervous please don’t be. Trust the vaccine please

Cudworth Food Bank, is now in St John’s Church , well for the time being, opening time are Friday 2pm until 3. 30pm, Father David’s volunteers are on hand to assist anybody who needs food. Not a hand out but a hand up.

Litter Pick took place this morning, Cudworth to Darfield, starring point Storrs Mill Lane all the way through Eganthorpe Lane. Thanks to Janet Mason the lead volunteer, they came from all over Barnsley to be part of the biggest Litter Clean Up Thanking BMBC , and Area Officers

Why does it happen gypsies encamped on this football field , the children of Cudworth their playing field. The mess they left scandalous. The families came down this morning the Big Clean up, the children helped. Tomorrow they are having a Fund Rising event to buy new equipment.
