Some scenes from #Harvest2025 Great weather, good grain yield and lots of straw. Finished cutting spring barley this evening, still Field beans to cut, towards the end of the month I'd say.

Yesterday we ran in a new water mains trenchless using Terra Services, arrived at 9am and finished at 12, super job. Put in a 40mm pipe replaced a 1.5" 60 year old pipe that we fixed a number of leaks. We only had to dig 3 holes, machine did the rest.

Have the 460 loaded up and heading to the Black bull thrashing, feeling a bit lazy this morning so just bringing the one Nuff

1st September and definitely starting to feel autumnal. Normally this pic would be bang on, middle of harvest but this year grain is all cut just some beans left.

Had a lovely evening in St Pauls church Portarlinton last night, Midland string quartet playing ABBA hits and then retiring to Delaneys pub for excellent pints. Yeah a good night for sure.

Today was the Harvest Thanksgiving in St Marys Geashill, I brought the 460 and two jute bags of barley and a small sample of beans, my efforts at the Harvest decorations. A lot of people nowadays don't realize that all grain had to be handled in bags, 2cwt or more!
