I’ve been very quiet in the world of #Genealogy lately, but today’s “birthday reminder” from Ancestry was a big one - the centenary of my grandfather’s birth in Glasgow #FamilyHistory

Lovely “new” photo of an ancestor I’d have liked to have met: 3x great grand aunt Elizabeth Baker. Known for her undaunted spirit she was climbing mountains at 70, sawing wood at 90 and seeing off burglars at 92 (according to local newspaper) #AncestryHour #FamilyHistory

Hoping #AncestryHour is still a thing! Getting back into genealogy this wk by adding a couple of 5x greats to my tree. DNA pointed the way. Also a week of collaboration with my 6th cousin, sharing our journeys into genealogy as much as uncovering our deep Rutland roots
