In 1883, Job Carr was elected to the Tacoma City Board of Directors for the second time after a 9 year absence. He served only until January 1884 when Tacoma City (Old Town) and New Tacoma (Downtown) merged together to form one City of Tacoma. #ElectionDay #Vote

#OTD in 1875, the Washington Territorial Legislature incorporated #Tacoma City (Old Tacoma). The town had already been officially platted in December 1869 and incorporated by #PierceCounty in May 1874.
