Thank you to Edwards Lab for working with both P5 classes to teach us about cells. We learned about healthy and cancerous cells. We got to see these cells through a microscope, made them and had a go at being doctors to get the polyps out🧫🔭🥼 Biochemical Society

.University of Glasgow researchers are among the team of European clinicians and scientists who form CRC-STARS, a world-leading research team tasked with making personalised medicine a reality for people with bowel cancer. Wonderful to see this announced today. CRC-STARS aims to better understand adaptive treatment response to modern therapies with a major focus on #rectalcancer and clinical trials including #PRIME-RT We UofG Cancer Sciences are excited to be able to play our part! Joanne Edwards

We are so grateful to pts giving their time to participate in research University of Glasgow at a hugely stressful time. Even more amazing when pts support research publicity interviewing for national press-Thank you Tracey! scotsman.com/health/scotlan… glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/25049932.…

The PRIME-RT team comprises fantastic clinical/ CTU teams from across the UK - University of Aberdeen, Oxford The Christie NHS, NHS Ayrshire & Arran and University of Glasgow UofG Cancer Sciences Queen's University Belfast 🎓 We are especially appreciative of the patients who contributed time and energy to be part of the trial.

Next step is translational analysis of serial tumour samples to understand 1. Why tumours respond more or less than others 2. how RT/anti-PDL1 impacts the TME and response evolution. 👀Watch this space Nigel B. Jamieson Joanne Edwards Owen Sansom 🏳️🌈 ACRCelerate CRUK Scotland Inst
