Very excited to be speaking about our ethical model at UCI PrisonPandemic

Thank you so much to The Digital Library Federation for including Alexis @policyaspenal and I from UCI PrisonPandemic in the DHC closing plenary. We absolutely loved being a part of such a rich discussion on preserving and digitizing the voices of vulnerable populations.

2020 Predoctoral Ford Fellow Joanne DeCaro published an article on the well-being of people leaving prison & re-entering society. It suggests that former lifers' shame about past events could significantly affect their current well-being. Read here: ow.ly/4l4F50MAtio

If you happen to be in Chicago this weekend, come to the opening of this exhibit! I’m creating a small part of one of the exhibits with Mourning Our Losses.

Mourning Our Losses Logan Center CONGRATS to "Artists for the People" Fellows Michelle Daniel Jones & Dorothy Burge; 🩷 to all who made it happen: Tracy, Alice Kim, Chicago Torture Justice Memorials, @ArtsPrison, @SusannahBannon, Bun, adamu chan, Joanne DeCaro, Page Against the Machine, Kelsey, Jane, Rachael, Ruth. Go check out the exhibit, #Chicago!

UCI PrisonPandemic is fundraising to cover the costs of sending a PrisonPandemic paperback book – a printed anthology of the stories on our website – back to the incarcerated people who shared their stories with us. Please consider donating. zotfunder.give.uci.edu/project/41077

Me and the UCI PrisonPandemic team have a chapter in this! So excited to have this out there alongside these other amazing projects. A huge thank you to Jess and Alison!
