I think I'm figuring out how to write better plots because my subconscious has been producing some amazing dreams lately.

If my unconscious can do it, my conscience self has a chance.

My copy of Cloud Atlas arrived today. It was a little banged up. They shipped it in a plastic bag.

It's also covered in stickers from the Denver Public Library. I got most of them off, but now it's sticky. 😕

I thought about reviving a WIP that plays on Norse Mythology.

Then I realized it's the equivalent of writing bad fan fiction when you only vaguely understand a show.

It's great practice, but I shouldn't try to publish it.

Do you ever see posts and the expression of the profile picture captures the feel of the post everytime?

Like the post is happy and the person is excited smiling.

The post is confused and the picture looks confounded.

The post is strange and the picture is incomprehensible.

Finished editing another chapter. I added 950 words.

I have some notes for the next chapter. Someone suggested I give it a specific feel which I thought I had done, but clearly missed.

I had to clean up my cat's latest secret pee spot.

It was a bookshelf.

He hit 2 of my German to English books, an external hard drive box with the drive inside, and my Rosetta Stone box.

Since I can't stop him, I've moved everything off that shelf except Rosetta Stone.

Today was a great day for editing. I made it through several chapters.

Tomorrow I have to rewrite a chapter from a different POV character's perspective than I wrote it the first time.

Then I will re-edit these chapters again because it never ends.

I used head-popping as a dance move. Ha, ha, ha.

I've finished Act 1 if my current WIP and have started editing because Act 2 is dependent on Act 1 being set in stone.

I've found that I am rewriting every word and phrase. I campare the old and new paragraphs and think: I can't believe that became that.

Hard to believe he bit me and I tossed him out of the house an hour ago.

I went online and bought Cloud Atlas.
I was sitting here started to wonder, did I buy Cloud Atlas or Atlas Shrugged.

Don't worry. I bought the right one.

I just asked Google if there is a word for a short prayer and it came back with ejaculation or ejaculatory prayer and I don't think I can use either one.

Last night my cat was super distressed.

It snowed, heavy wet snow, and he tried to go out 2x but turned around right away. He made me open the door 10x before he gave up. He kept argue meowing. I showed him his litter box 2x.

Finally, the cat gave up and used the litter box

I'm always amazed at how many words I add during the first edit pass. 1800 words for this chapter just became 2300 and I still have a page to edit.
