This hits hard. Being a father means “missing out” on a lot of the things that I enjoy. Nights out with friends. Weekend golf. Travel. Alone time with wife. But there is absolutely nothing that brings pure joy like time with my daughter. Wise Scott Adams

Don’t need another Hormozi video. Don’t need another self-help book. Don’t need another thread. Need to raw dog your walks to unshackle your mind.

Yesterday I had a patient in her late 80s who is typically a hard worker and has progressed well physically. Wants to get off a walker to using a cane. Generally weak, poor endurance, etc. For some reason, she REALLY didn’t feel like participating in her rehab program yesterday.

There is a line that distinguishes political passion from moral collapse, and that line has been crossed. A recent article documenting responses to President Biden’s cancer diagnosis reveals something chilling. Not disagreement. Not a critique. Not a protest. Contempt for human

The majority of people in boots don't need them. When we immobilize people, the downstream consequences come fast. If you're given a boot... question it. Very often, they're just not needed. There certainly are some situations where they are needed... Don't be afraid to

I’ve never heard any medical professional directly complain about taking care of patients as a whole. They complain about the administrative bullshit, red tape and politics that come with. If all anyone had to do was “take care of patients” the job would be a dream come true.

Have not been following this series of events but Scott Adams situation is very sad and he is wearing it with immense grace. William Makis MD is a classic snake oil salesman that customer blames when his garbage doesn’t work. Hope his whole “brand” goes up in flames. Disgusting.

But what’s behind the fall? It’s not just bad luck. It’s usually a combination of: -Impaired balance — your body’s internal GPS isn’t calibrated -Poor neuromuscular power — You lost connections to many of your muscle groups. Your ability to react quickly fades -Poor Power — Loss

Resistance training is becoming more mainstream in all demographics. It’s in magazines, news outlets, etc. Being promoted to women, elderly, everyone. Its AWESOME. But also showcases a lack of critical thinking in the average person. This morning I saw an 82 y/o patient

Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) are the healthcare equivalent of purgatory. Very very seldom have I seen anyone come out of one in better shape than they went in, even though they are supposed to exist as a sort of intermediary after the hospital while they get strong/healthy

Really interesting point. We have chased unlimited so long: Unlimited email storage. Unlimited texts. Unlimited phone calls. Unlimited internet data. Unlimited is now starting to bite us in the ass and rob us of our most precious commodity: Attention.

What a hilarious spin on a failed attempt to raise prices. Likely series of events: 1. Sent notice that prices would be rising 2. Many businesses/users said cool, we will cancel (product sucks already at this price point) 3. They said oh shit jk we can’t afford this revenue hit

Hard to keep a tidy schedule with patient visits in North Scottsdale. Some people just have no respect for motorists when… walking their donkey?

This is true. Never believed people made real money online until I watched my gf (now wife) buy stuff that she didn’t know existed 5 seconds ago.

If I ever need surgery the first question I will ask the surgeon “tell me the most likely natural history of what will happen to me if I don’t have surgery”. If there is uncertainty hopefully it will be acknowledged. Same goes for an oncologist telling me I need chemo.
