Enjoyed a little FriYay with our wonderful Education Foundation friends…and our pal, Splash! My favorite part of the day…the Brookwood first grader who asked, “Why is your name Mr. Young? You look so old!” :-)

Started the day with great meetings at Daves Creek ES. What a high energy staff (at 7:15 AM, no less) and a high energy group of parents…All led by Team Ashton!!!

Ended the day with a wonderful celebration - Otwell MS’s 50th Birthday!!! Great to see and spend time with OMS alumni, past & current staff, and students. Happy 50th!!!

New Sup’t Tour headed East today. Enjoyed my time tremendously with the EFHS Bronco Family and Principal Martin. Great things are on the horizon for the blue and orange!

Sup’t Tour Stop #10 - The Grove! Really enjoyed time hearing from PTA & LSC members and Dr. O’s fabulous admin team. Also had the added treat of seeing the orchestra perform “Ode to Joy” which summarized my visit!

In the midst of tragedy in neighboring Barrow Co., activities continue on with our precious elementary school students at Vickery Creek ES. It was a great reminder yesterday afternoon of the GOOD that comes in our schools. Thanks for hosting me, Principal Ihle!

Latest stops on the tour: West Forsyth HS in the AM, Midway ES in the afternoon. LSC & PTO conversations centered on school safety, as you might imagine. Great conversations about what we do in FCS to keep our schools safe!

Thank you, Dawn Hudson & the Liberty MS Patriots on a beautiful 9/11 ceremony. Such an important day in our nation’s history - a thoughtful, respectful, inspirational event at LMS. Great to see Liberty’s Mount Rushmore of principals, too!

Great visit with Tracey Smith & the Kelly Mill Colts, yesterday! They are 100% all in on building future leaders for our world!

Loved getting to start my day with Keith Sargent, staff, & parent leaders at DeSana MS this AM. Such a strong, fully engaged community!

Great ending to the week on Friday at South Forsyth MS - ran into a couple of former students-turned-teachers (love that!!!). Great start to this week at New Hope ES. New principals at both - Ms Tuck & Mr Vorkick - both are natural leaders!!!

A belated post from Tuesday. Two wonderful visits on the Sup’t Tour. Started with Karl Mercer & his Avengers…finished the day with Kimberly Davis & the beloved Sawnee ES family. Both provide amazing student environments!!!

National Hispanic Heritage Month is underway…kicked off in FCS with our 3rd Annual Celebration. Great dance performances & LFH members from FCHS were amazing! Congrats to all award winners…especially my colleagues Rafael Santiago & Jeff Bearden!

Return from Fall Break means the new Sup’t Tour could re-start. Monday afternoon with the Huskies of Haw Creek ES. Wonderful visit with Dr. Johnessee, staff, and parents!

Catching up from last week’s whirlwind of school visits. Had the chance to spend time at Lakeside, Shiloh Pt, Little Mill, Silver City, Hendricks & NFMS!!! Always amazed at incredible things going on throughout this system!
