In sum, our data suggest that beta activity may reflect behavioral states related to reward, particularly after reward value learning. We also provide evidence that PVs are involved in BLA reward processing, adding to their known involvement in fear behaviors

Important topic for discussion. In my experience, Institutional salary and promotion structures also contribute to the dwindling of smaller labs which can impact the training environment.
