This is important work by Andrea Garnero Tito Boeri and Lorenzo G. Luisetto. Noncompetes have drawn so much attention in the US. But not in Europe. Why? Probably a lack of data. This work shows that many of the same issues related to noncompetes in the US arise in Italy too.

Economics is in something of a #metoo moment, with a number of women coming forward (and naming names) with some very disturbing revelations of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct by senior male economists. See Jennifer Doleac's timeline for a blow-by-blow of each revelation.

Criminal consequences should be based on what someone did, not who they are. That's why we partnered with external researchers on the Prosecutor Transparency Project—which released its report on racial disparities in prosecutorial decisionmaking today: myumi.ch/23NQ4 /1
